The value of loving your neighbor

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life for a ransom for many.” – Mark 10:45

For Crossings Ministries, our true passion is to serve. We serve our group leaders by providing a stress-free experience, we serve our students and kids by giving them a gospel focused and fun camp experience, and we also serve the world by providing our guests with an opportunity to give to missions. Mark 10 shows us the perfect example of service. Jesus served many, including you and me, by taking the punishment for all sin on the cross.

While we cannot come close to serving at that magnitude, we can serve and give selflessly in an attempt to bear witness to who Christ is and what Christ has done for us.

Missions has been woven into the tapestry of Crossings from our very start. We have given $1,771,407 to missions in the last 20 years. We have also provided missions opportunities for our churches in Haiti and our staff in Cuba. On top of those opportunities, we view our camp properties as mission fields. Our staff is trained rigorously to relationally witness to students and kids that find themselves at camp.

God has done a splendid work through our property staffs to bring many to Christ, but why stop there? Why not go out beyond our properties?

Several years ago, the idea of a missions focused camp was born. The idea was to partner with ministries in cities outside of Bagdad and Hardin to give our churches the Crossings camp experience while having the opportunity to serve others and share the love of Christ. Crossings On Mission has spent the last two years in Chicago and plans to move to Dayton, Ohio and eastern Kentucky in 2021. We are eager to see God work in the groups in attendance as well as working through those groups to bring about positive change in the community.

Our heart is to provide Kentucky churches with the opportunity to participate in mission work while not having to break the bank or travel halfway across the world. Would you come alongside us and pray for fruitful ministry in Dayton and eastern Kentucky as well as life change amongst the groups in attendance?

We covet your prayers and we are thankful for every Kentucky church that has given us their trust and support in the past.

Crossings is an agency of the Kentucky Baptist Convention that hosts summer camps and offers retreat facilities for groups of all sizes. Visit their
