LOUISVILLE, Ky. (KT) – Three pro-life organizations have said they are endorsing Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s bid for reelection.
McConnell has stood for life throughout his career and used his position as Senate Majority Leader to be a champion for pro-life legislation in the Senate. Earlier this year, he led the Senate in voting to end late-term abortion and to provide health care to babies born-alive after an attempted abortion.
National Right to Life President Carol Tabias said McConnell had a “100 percent pro-life voting record” in the Senate.
“Senator McConnell has diligently worked to see that all innocent human life is protected and he is committed to strengthening a culture of life throughout the nation and in the U.S. Senate,” she said.
McConnell Senate Committee press secretary Kate Cooksey said in a statement: “Leader McConnell is proud to give a voice to the unborn children who do not yet have their own” and is honored to be endorsed by these pro-life organizations.
“Leader McConnell has proven throughout his career that Kentuckians can always count on him to stand up for the unborn and for our conservative values,” she said. “The contrast between pro-life Mitch McConnell and 100 percent pro-abortion Amy McGrath could not be more clear.”
