It’ll be late night with Kentucky in Kansas City.

Second-seeded Kentucky will play No. 3 Houston in the Midwest Regional semifinals Friday night and tipoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET with the game televised on TBS.

Top-seed North Carolina and No. 5 seed Auburn meet in the first game around 7:30 p.m.

Houston reached the Sweet Sixteen with a 74-59 victory over Ohio State on Sunday night.

The Cats played late games often during the Southeastern Conference regular season. They had eight games with tips at 8:30 p.m. or later and went 7-1 with the loss coming to Duke in the season opener.

Houston is having its best season in 25 years. Fourth-year coach Kelvin Sampson has a team that is led by a tough senior backcourt of Galen Robinson and Corey Davis Jr. and the Cougars are relentless on defense (allowing 60 points per game and 36.6 field goal percentage defense).

Armoni Brooks is one of several long-range specialists and Houston was the best rebounding team in its conference.
