Former UK golfer McDaniel shares first-round lead in Unbridled event

RICHMOND, Ky. (KT) — Former University of Kentucky standout golfer Chip McDaniel shares the lead with Dylan Meyer going into the second round of the Unbridled Tour Tournament.

 

McDaniel of Manchester and Meyer each fired an 8-under-par 64 in the opening round of the event at Boone’s Trace National Golf Club on Tuesday. McDaniel and Meyer lead Northern Kentucky University golfer Jacob Poore by one stoke going into Wednesday’s second round.

 

Cooper Musselman is two shots back at 6-under and Kent Bulle of Glasgow and three others, including amateur Jason Cook, a junior at Kentucky, are three back of the lead after posting a 69 in the first round.

 

The second round is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday in Richmond.
