PIKEVILLE, Ky. (KT) -- A joint state-federal drug investigation has led to arrests in three Kentucky counties.
Kentucky State Police at the Pikeville Post say KSP detectives, along with Task Force Officers with the Drug Enforcement Administration conducted a drug roundup in Pike and Jefferson Counties.
Seven sealed indictments were handed down from a Federal Grand Jury. Troopers and Detectives served arrest warrants on the suspects, all of whom were indicted for Conspiracy to Traffic in Methamphetamine over 500 grams (or 17 ounces).
The indictments came after a lengthy drug investigation conducted by Kentucky State Police Post 9 Street Level Detectives and the DEA.
Those arrested include:
--Ivory Dean, 33, of Louisville
--Lois Spears, 25, of Pikeville
--Emilee Yonts 32, of Ashcamp
--John Wesley Wright, 39, of Pikeville
--Lauren Ashley Powell, 21, of Elkhorn City
--Charles Doneghy, 31, of Louisville
All those charged were being held at the Pike County Detention Center.
